City Lights was supported by Film London, and co-produced by Finite Films and Falconbrook Films. It premiered at the LA Shorts Fest before playing at various other well-regarded festivals in the US and UK. Having been short-listed for various awards, it won the Best Short Film prize at the Film The House awards.
In-kind support was provided by 24-7 Drama, Panasonic and Hillrigs. Although Film London funding stipulates that crew are paid, many people worked for a nominal fee. Mari Yamamura lit it, Jim Page cut it, Yulia Bereznikova was the art director, and the fab Zita Zutic Konak (then with Kate & Lou Casting) cast it.
Muhammad Danyaro supervised the VFX, which makes it look like we found the perfect (but non-existent)location. He was supported by a team of students from Escape Studios (who have generally gone on to have successful careers in the VFX industry). You can see a breakdown of Muhammad's work on the film here.
